"Our specialist fine wine shop in Aldeburgh is named after the fishing hamlet of Slaughden Quay (painted by Turner, above) which once stood to the south of the town, before being lost to the sea in the last century. Established in 1969, our main business, Richard Kihl Ltd, is a fine wine brokerage, specialising in en primeur, investment wines, and older and historic vintages. This means our shop has an unusually large selection of fine wines, with over 300 wines, mostly classic and Old World, at fine wine wholesale prices; from around £12 per bottle to several thousand. On our shop website we offer a selection of 100 wines, ranging from affordable favourites to truly exceptional bottles."
