"Full lemon yellow. A very attractive bouquet with a little bit of flesh behind. Not too full on the palate with crunchy limestone minerals filling the mouth. Nicely balanced with the oak, and a clean medium to long finish. Drink from 2027-2032. 89-92 points" Jasper Morris MW, insideburgundy.com
"Pernand-Vergelesses lies along the western side of the Côte de Beaune, bordered by Savigny-lès-Beaune to the southwest and south, and by Aloxe-Corton to the east. Its tiny village is nearly invisible in the grove of trees which rises from the middle of the vineyards. The Clos de la Croix de Pierre vineyards takes its name from the imposing old cross marking the site, the origins of which are unknown. The Clos de la Croix de Pierre originally belonged to a cousin of Louis Jadot. The grapes are harvested by hand and are fermented in barrels after a gentle pressing. The wine spends 15 to 18 months on fine lees before bottling. Wines from here are very well balanced, with a good structure." Maison Louis Jadot
