"Quite a mix of plots, though more lower slope (plus Vireuils) and includes the rarely seen Buisson Certaut lieu-dit. A mix of smaller and larger wood plus a few other containers! Pale clear colour, citrus and even grapefruit present on the nose. Then the douceur of the vintage, that faint sucrosity at the back. Another wine which will be easy to love early on. About Domaine Michelot
A visit to Michelot is always a highlight of our visits to Burgundy. The Mestre family are such good-humoured, gregarious characters, as well as highly-skilled winemakers. The domaine became one of the best known in Meursault under the charismatic Bernard Mestre. Today the 23-hectare domaine is run by Bernard's grandson, Nicolas Mestre, and his father Jean-Francois.
