Domaine Albert Mann—run by brothers Maurice (viticulture) and Jacky Barthelmé (winemaking)— has a history dating back to 1634. Organically farmed and guided by biodynamic principles, this blend of 25% Pinot Blanc and 75% Auxerrois is drawn from several vineyard parcels with vines averaging over 30 years of age. The marl-and-limestone soils give a pale yellow wine with aromatics of peach, pear and delicate white flowers. The palate is clean, bright and deeply refreshing, with beautifully judged fruit, vibrant acidity and a subtle mineral line. This is one of the most under-rated wines on our list and an excellent alternative to white burgundy as an aperitif or with fish and poultry.
